Heavy Water

Heavy water is mainly used in nuclear power and nuclear engineering industry and consumed in power, research and commercial reactors. Heavy water and deuterium find application in research facilities such as Sudbury Neutrino Observatory (SNO), sources of cold neutrons, laser machines etc. and is used as isotopic label in chemistry, biology, hydrology and solvent in NMR spectroscopy.
